In my opinion this is the best beginner wheel on the market for a new EUC rider. Inmotion has the best design and quality control of any of the major manufactures, and the speed and range of this wheel is plenty for cruising and commuting. It's also incredibly durable, I take my wheel through hard terrain and trails and it's survived a few spills. The suspension has also saved me from crashes many times by softening unexpected potholes or bad sidewalk. I have no regrets with this being my first EUC.
